BIBLE TREK

Now Treking - Life Written on Paper, Not Set in Stone

Our Goals plus God's too

In Ecclesiastes 3:14 and Proverbs 16:9 it seems to point out that no matter what our goals may be, God's goal is stepping and overriding ours! If nothing can be added or removed, then why the heck we take the time to plan anything? Why can't we just sit and wait for God to step in and do everything for us? After all God has the ultimate say in what we doing in life! From looking back into the past God has stepped in your life at some point, rearranging plans and goals. But is this the attitude that we should have about our goals?

We are forgeting something.... God wants to have a relationship with us! Like in any relationship, we need to do our part and not wait for the other to just take care of everything for us! God has chosen to do things through us, using us as a tool to further expand His kingdom outward.

We are ambassadors for God to carry out His goals into the world--not puppets that jump at every command given! God calls up to have a partnership with Him a relationship, like father and child (Philippians 3:10 and Colossians 1:24-25).

With this insite, we can look at Ecclesiastes 3:14 and Proverbs 16:9 as a open invitation with God. A chance to list our goals and plans; linking them with God's goals and plans that He has for us! He see's things differently than you and I do in life. He is seeing us doing more than what we see ourself doing!

January's Trek - Our Spiritual Battle

Stop Ahead, Satan is Real

The battle is real, Satan does his best to do what he can to make our life upside down. Through his sceams, he trys to tempted us any way he can, hoping to stopping us dead in our tracks on the path of rightouness! Satan's goal to keep us from that "relationship" with God; keep us from shining His light in this dark world. This battle is going to get harder as we try to shine the light of Christ in our lives and through others; but the first step is knowing what we as belevers are up against, Satan!

As we study and read the Bble, take hold of the scriptures; hide them in your heart! No matter where we are or what we happen to face today, the verses we memorized helps to restist Satan's tricks of temptation! God is with us in this battle! "I can do all things through Christ who srengthens me" (Phil. 4:3). He provides our strength, supplyer of tools to "be ready" for battle!

"Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; not His ear heavy, that it cannot hear" (Isa, 59 1). You are not going to fight this battle alone; God will help, all you need to do is tell Him of the battle through prayer! More strength will come after time and time of resisting of an attack from Satan! God is all-powerful; Satan is not, just crafty!

Keeping our eyes focused on the "truth" by hiding God's word in our hearts will help us resist! God wants to help us; share your spiritual battle with Him so you can put on "the armor of God...".
